Former Blackpool FC footballer Dave Bamber came face-to-face with a house named in his honour when he visited the Foxhall Village housing development in Blackpool.
Dave, who scored over 80 goals in 194 appearances for the Seasiders, has had a property type named after him, as a reflection of his legendary status among Blackpool supporters.
The Bamber is a two bedroom house on the pioneering £50million development in the heart of the resort, which was recently named ‘most innovative scheme’ at the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) North West Planning Achievement Awards.
Foxhall Village is being delivered by Hollinwood Homes, the residential arm of Marcus Worthington Group, as part of a wider regeneration of the area and the creation of a new community.
It will contain 400 two, three and four bedroom homes, all named after footballing heroes from Blackpool FC, including Jimmy Armfield and Stanley Matthews.
To date, over 90 houses have been built, with almost 100 people making Foxhall Village their home.
